I made soup. Chicken broth base veggie/potatoe soup. Also needed an excuse to use up some leftover rice.

That particular spelling of potato once made a vice president the laughingstock of a nation and forever marred his reputation and credibility.
My, how far we have since fallen as a nation.

Looks good, looks tasty.
I’m thinking of having a lazy evening and getting a Papa Johns.
Either regular
Or a local takeaway.
((ye’, it’s ham and pineapple, for those that say ‘ur, fruit on a pizza’, well, tomatoes are a fruit and they’re on almost all pizzas so deal with it)).

You make me remember grad school. We had a technician who worked in a restaurant. Saturday’s leftovers often became Sunday’s soup special. He would bring leftover soup into the lab on Monday. Monday’s were really good there for a while.

That’s most of our soup at work. Product is selling slow, make a soup with it.

I firmly believe pineapples should never be that close to tomatoes. We can add this to the list of things we don’t agree on.
Things Svend and CalzoneGolem don’t agree on

It’s not hard to grasp,
potato - potatoes.
tomato - tomatoes.
Lol.

Ham and pineapple?

Pineapple on pizza is one of those things I found weird at first but I grew to like it. I actually prefer swapping out ham with something saltier, like salami or bacon to offset the sweetness of the pineapple.

I had leftover pizza from a local place - the traditional Canadian grease wheel, just plain pepperoni and cheese. It was a drunk decision last night and my stomach scolded me for it this morning. Yet, I’ve learned nothing and had more pizza for breakfast and lunch today.

For some it’s like the worst do to do.
The President of Iceland.
That was a light hearted quip.
But some on the internet are very outspoken on it.

Pepperoni pizza is amazing. Any stomach pain or digestive issue resulting from it is worth it.

Pineapple on pizza has been one of those things that you just make fun of since it really doesn’t sound appealing at first.
There was a segment on The Layover (a food-centric travel show with Anthony Bourdain) where Bourdain says he hates pineapple on pizza to a pizza maker in Rome (called Bonci) and he convinces Bourdain he can make an excellent pineapple and ham pizza. He adds fried onions & peppers which really blows Bourdain away and convinced him it can work. As far as travel shows go, Bourdain seems the most balanced in that he goes for the food of the people rather than fancy Michelin-star high-end dining, so I tend to trust his opinion.

I agree, even moreso after I got my bidet. Let’s just say that I didn’t need heated water after all, and that cold water is very soothing.
I also hope you finished your lunch before reading that last sentence.

Actually I’m half way through eating my pizza.
I’ve seen and heard it all. Worked over eight years as an ambulance tech.

Worked over eight years as an ambulance tech.
I regret nothing. Carry on, then.
Since you’re eating pizza, I found the clip from the show I was talking about. The part I was referring to starts at 22:50.
Enjoy your pizza my friend.

Lol. We joke about keeping a toilet roll in the freezer after a particularly hot curry.
Always keep some wet wipes as well. Otherwise you’ll dry out your ‘ring’ which according to a Japanese doctor is not very pleasant and can cause the skin to crack, peel or even get infected.
We had a bidet in Cyprus and Saudi and never used them.
I still think it’s odd to blast water at your ‘ring’, what if you get the jet wrong and the water shoots under you getting the front of your shirt wet and your trousers or up your back?
No. I’ll stick with my three or four ply cushioned toilet roll.

I had never even thought of that, but that’s not even a problem, actually. I don’t know if it’s magic but it’s on target all of the time. I do know that there are no electronics involved since there’s no power source for the damn thing.
